All3 is transforming how buildings are conceived, developed, and delivered. We combine AI-powered design with robotic prefabrication and on-site assembly to build custom architecture at the cost and speed of mass production, unlocking even the most complex sites.

We're currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our team, focused on owning the concept and development of our structural interfaces - from the initial idea through to production-ready drawings and validated calculation methodologies. You'll lead the process end to end, turning complex structural connections into clear, buildable, and well-documented solutions that integrate directly into our design system.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the conceptual development of structural interfaces, from initial idea to base drawings;
  • Setting technical briefs for external contractors and managing iterations through to final, production-ready drawings;
  • Coordinating input from external subcontractors on fire safety, acoustics, and engineering stakeholders, and integrating their comments into design;
  • Coordinating input from internal stakeholders on manufacturing, software and construction and integrating their input into structural design interfaces;
  • Developing and adapting calculation methodologies for All3's internal tools;
  • Producing detailed technical documentation across multiple interface configurations, including corner and cruciform variants;
  • Collaborating with architects to deliver highly detailed, readable construction drawings;
  • Managing contractor relationships and driving process improvements, such as consolidating vendors and unifying deliverable formats.

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in structural engineering of timber, hybrid or prefabricated building systems, with hands-on experience in timber and timber-based construction;
  • Proven experience with prefabricated building systems;
  • Deep understanding of German building regulations, Eurocodes, fire safety and acoustic requirements;
  • Basic understanding of acoustic performance, thermal and moisture aspects, as well as processes in production and on-site;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external contractors and lead development processes, not only engineering tasks;
  • Experience applying DfMA principles and parametric design workflows (Grasshopper, Rhino or similar) to structural development.

Conditions

  • Chance to be a part of a large-scale project;
  • Team driven by impactful cause;
  • Remote format of work;
  • Language courses;
  • Flexible working schedule;
  • 28 days of annual leave;
  • 5 wellness days per year.
